MVFS staff are volunteers who work from home, give from our hearts and take pride in serving the men and women who serve us. Our board is comprised of military spouses that have experienced the deployment process themselves and people that are dedicated to honoring our military families in everything they do.

In 2004, Project Backpack was started to assist the many children of military families throughout the state of Minnesota. With the success of this program, and the efforts put forth to honor and respect the service and sacrifice of our Military men and women, Minnesota Veteran Family Support, ‘MVFS’ was founded in 2007 and continues to provide support and resources to our Minnesota Military families before, during and after a deployment.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All donations to MVFS are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Our Mission

• To grant continuing support and address the needs of our Minnesota veterans' families throughout the deployment and reintegration process.
• To promote awareness that military families need continuing support for extended periods of time after the homecoming.
